Do you guys think it is wise to wait a good 6 months when a new model comes out before buying it ? I would imagine there are always going to be bugs and kinks that need to be worked out that quality control missed.

sometimes those errors are related to a shitty card, so at least try switching the card.

charles, never ran into that problem with the 40d we use tethered to shoot in studio, but my first 5d Mk 2 I purchased had an error 70 or some thing... had to take it back, shoot 5 frames and shut down...

More of a question than a comment. My Canon 40D is giving me an 'Error 99' when attempting to take the first photo coming out of the sleep mode. I have to remove the battery and re-install it to make the error go away. Has anyone else run into this little problem?
